About the Item
Orbitale Doppio, Double Shade Orbitale Chandelier
This chandelier is a new version of our classic Orbitale, featuring double shades for enhanced lighting. Its frame is designed with four short arms and two longer arms, making it ideal for hanging above a rectangular or oval dining table.
The arms can be rotated around the central stem, allowing you to position the shades to evenly light up your room. Each shade is also connected with a pivot joint, so you can direct the light exactly where you need it.
While the shades primarily reflect a soft, ambient light upward toward the ceiling, each one has a small hole that shines a direct light downward. This adds a subtle sparkle to objects on the table below, like silverware and crystal.
The inside of each shade is finished in white enamel to maximize light output. The arms and body are made from solid, hand-finished brass, and the arms are designed to be strong and rigid.
The chandelier's design echoes the classic Italian styles of the 1950s, with a modern twist that brings elegance and sophistication to any space. We recommend using a standard A15 lightbulb with an E26 or E27 base, which is positioned to perfectly align with the hole in the shade.

Orbitale 3 arms frame using the twin shade. Thanks to a customer who had the articulated sconces and wanted this version with black and ivory shades. It's a beautiful combination of colors on the shades with the light noisette patina on the brass.
I designed this for being placed above a kitchen island where it's at the best of use, having task light and movable arms and shades.
It would be great also over a counter, a dining table and a living room.
Arms are balanced with a heavy cast brass sphere and are rotating on the stem in an orbital movement.
In order to get perfect balancing the sphere is filled with sand to reach the point of no leverage.
Shades are in hand spun aluminum, lacquered with ivory powder paint with eggshell semi matte finish. Black is matte as that is the best with brass.
Shades are connected to the arm with a pivot joint to give different possibilities of light orientation.
