About the Item
The absolutely beautiful and classic 9029 chandelier designed by Paavo Tynell and manufactured by Taito Oy in Finland in the 1950s. The model 9029 comes in various different sizes, this particular one is the one with four shades. Some refer to the 9029 model as the "Bridal Bucket" because of the leaf decorations. This item is in great condition still holding the beautiful original opal shades. It is also stamped "OY TAITO AB. 9029".
Paavo Tynell (1890–1973) was a Finnish designer who is well renowned around the world for his incredible lighting fixtures and lamps. Tynell is known as the man who “illuminated Finland” and his works can be found on numerous public offices and buildings such as the Finnish Parliament House and the office of Secretary-General of the United Nations in New York. Tynells ability to breathe life into his work has been almost unparalleled to this day.
Note* At some point in it's history the lamp had been spray painted in copper coloured spray (Refer to the very last picture), but has since been professionally polished and the change is unnoticable.
