About the Item
A pair of very modern, elegant and fine Kinkeldey chandeliers. Really heavy quality. They are comfortable with all decor periods. This chandeliers are executed to a very high standard. The quality large square crystals beautifully reflecting the light. This modernist design chandeliers were designed by the Kinkeldey design team during the 1970s and manufactured in Germany.
The chrome frame is in very good condition with a light patina in line with age. The large 18 crystal shades, all original and in excellent condition, screw securely to the frame. The cable is replaced by a chrome rod, is removable and can be shortened or replaced with a longer bar. A chrome ceiling cup finishes the bar at the top and can be placed at different heights. Carries horizontally inside the frame six standard small screw light bulbs (E14) up to 60 Watts each.

Cleaned and well-wired, in full working order and ready to use. This chandelier can be disassembled and the crystals individually wrapped for easy transport.
Kinkeldey is German manufacturer of high-end lighting fixtures. The company attracted international attention when they won the prestigious IF Design Award in 1969 with a chandelier fitted with prism cut crystals. During the 1970s. Kinkeldey produced a number of variations on this award winning model, like the ones offered here. Though these lamps show the same quality as fixtures of companies like Bakalowits, Lobmeyer and Palwa, the
Kinkeldey models tend to be more modern in their design approach.
