Pair Of French 19th Century Louis Philippe Period Bronze And Ormolu Chandeliers
About the Item
A striking pair of French 19th century Louis Philippe period patinated bronze and ormolu chandeliers circa 1840. Each five arm chandelier is centered by an inverted ormolu eternal flame final centered by exceptional richly chased acanthus leaves leading to the arms. The arms each display foliate designs leading to superb reeded bobeches and mottled ormolu candle cups. At the centers are finely detailed ormolu acorn finials centering the chains leading upwards to the elegant canopies with additional most decorative foliate designs.
