About the Item
Remarkable Murano light fixture with painter's pallete-like colors.
One of the reasons why we think we have the best job in the world is that we keep finding beautiful and all handcrafted antiques that we have never seen before. We have sold mouth blown pendants before, but never had we seen one of this coloring. The Venetian technique of mouth blowing glass into a metal frame was typical for that region in Italy, but the more creative and talented makers also knew how to work with more than one or, as in this case, with multiple colors. This particularly stylish design with the extra thick glass and extra thick, forged iron frame too is a unique one. It is for us reason to believe that this fine specimen was all handcrafted in one of the more famous Italian glass art studios. For it to still be in mint condition as well is like the icing on the cake, because it makes this rare pendant a true joy to own and to look at. It comes with the original short, metal chain and the original and height adjustable, blackened metal canopy. Thanks to the metal hook inside the canopy, safely mounting this striking light tight to your ceiling should take no more than a few minutes. With the warm light it radiates, we feel this is the ideal pendant light for an entry hall, landing, bedroom or perhaps a funky shop selling cool clothes or other designer pieces. Mind you, this rare pendant too will arrive rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate, no matter where you live on our beautiful planet.
