About the Item
Ceiling lamp model A E 39 manufactured by Itsu in Finland in the mid 20th century. Displaying their own version of the iconic "starry sky" design, meant to portray a night sky full of stars. The lamp is in beautiful original condition. This design has been incredibly popular due to it being easy to integrate into almost any interior.
Itsu was one of the leading light manufacturing companies and a daughter company of Idman. Along with companies like Taito Oy, Idman and Orno they defined what Finnish design lamps would become. It made high quality lamps and produced lamps for major projects, including some of Alvar Aalto's projects like the Aalto University.
