Sergio Mazza Tetraclio Suspension Light for Artemide 60s

About the Item

This chandelier belongs to the iconic series " Clio", designed by the Italian designer Sergio Mazza, co-founder of the company Artemide in 1961. The chandelier "Clio" by Sergio Mazza for Artemide is a minimalist and rare lamp model. It features a frosted glass surface that provides soft lighting and offers a high-end look. The design, with its curves accentuated by the light, is iconic and is perfect for room lighting or above the dining table. Iconic design by its simple design, curves that are highlighted by the light from all angles. The frame is made of brass nickel plated, brushed. The height of the frame can be extended from 65 cm to 97 cm through a telescopic system. The 8 frosted glass hemispheres ( statinated inside) are screwed respectively below and above the frame. There are 8 E 27 bulbs. The lamp is in perfect condition, little signs of age. The electrical system has been tested and is perfect. To ensure safe delivery, we have to ship the lamp in 2 large boxes. Each glass will be wrapped extra and packed individually in a smaller box. Italy 1961 H: 65 cm to 97 cm W: 65 cm.

Sergio Mazza is an Italian designer born in 1931 in Milan. In 1955 he began his free profession and since 1961 he has been working alongside G. Gramigna in the Smc studio, working in the furniture and industrial design fields. Among the various acknowledgments and prizes received, we recall the mention at the Compasso d'Oro 1960 for the Delta lamp by Artemide and the silver medal for the Italian apartment at the X Triennale in Milan. From 1967 he also began to design for Olivari, signing the Macco handles, up to the Giuliana model, with Gramigna, in 1987. In the publishing field, again with Gramigna, he directed the "Ottagono" magazine from its foundation until 1988. Artemide is a company specialized in the production of lighting accessories (lamps, chandeliers, light points), founded by Ernesto Gismondi and Sergio Mazza in 1959. The brand has been characterized since the beginning by a great attention to the design that has allowed over the years to win numerous international awards for its products. Among the most prestigious names in Italian design, Artemide is also one of the world's leading companies in high-end residential and professional lighting. Already in 1967 he received his first prize the prestigious Compasso d'Oro for the Eclisse lamp, designed by Vico Magistretti. This award is followed by many others, nationally and internationally, making Artemide one of the symbolic companies in the design lamp sector. In 1996 Artemide made its own a new manifesto, in which it still identifies itself today: with the motto "The Human Light...
