Shelter pendant by Ango, Hand-Woven Semi-Outdoor Pendant Light
About the Item
Shelter pendant in Pink is created with the elemental and universal form of a loosely woven nest like home, this is then incarnated by the light inside, which diffuses through many metres of lateral recycled polypropylene.
The Shelter pendant material has been innovated by our partner PDM, and then enhanced by Ango through incorporating steel filament into it, so that the design references both the heritage of PDM and is a kind of technology transfer from the earliest lighting pieces by Ango that were created in a unique random weave of natural rattan.
Lighting pieces in this series create a feeling of warmth and sophistication, that is achieved through material advancement first, then coupled with a very human hand craftsmanship process.
