Signed Palwa Murano Glass Drop Chandelier Gilt Sputnik Flower 1960s Venini Style
About the Item
Large signed gilt brass flower sputnik chandelier with elongated slightly tinted shimmering Murano glass drops and pearls made by Palwa, very in the style of Venini, Germany circa 1960-1970s. The gorgeous pendant lamp has a gilt brass metal sputnik construction, gilt textured leaves forming a large flower with beautifully arranged elongated Murano glass drops on various tiers looking like a golden waterfall. It has 8 fittings and takes eight E14 standard screw bulbs to illuminate, we recommend LED bulbs which produce no heat and save energy. Wiring is good so all is fine working and ready to use. The total length is 75 cm / 29.53 inches, the width of the chandelier is 50 cm / 19.69 inches. This midcentury beauty, signed with company label Palwa in the canopy, stays in very good original vintage condition with typical characteristic minor wear consistent with age and use. Typical for german first class lighting company Palwa which is comparable to Bakalowits and Lobmeyr lighting, this pendant lamp is made with best materials and is of very high quality. This beauty is an eye-catcher. It would be a perfect addition and upgrade for any Mid-Century Modern or noble stylish interior.
