More available. In 1959 Paul Mayen patented Lumacryl a revolutionary acrylic that would make his lighting unique. These signed pieces are 17" long and 7" wide. The stems give them a drop of 16" for a total of 33". This special acrylic has several important properties making these pendants ideal as ceiling fixtures. They hardly ever yellow (UV Stable), are incredibly strong and resistant to cracking, and diffuse light the same way a frosted glass shade would. From a distance it is hard to tell if they are glass or white acrylic. Each shade has 3 chrome plated brass posts that extend 1" outside the cylinder. The stems have double pivots. Use as pendant or chandelier. At the top under the 5.5" ceiling plate the pivot allows fixture to a slanted ceiling - common in Mid Century decor. The Second Pivot is just above the socket which allows for precision positioning. All these fixtures are in excellent condition with only marks to the stems. All original and wiring in excellent condition. Ideal for residential and commercial use. Shipping price will depend on the number you purchase.
