About the Item
Gothic almost looking like it belong in a Batman Movie this sculptural Pendant light by Simon P. Henningsen was made by Lyfa and was originally designed in 1962 for the restaurant Divan 2 in Tivoli in Copenhagen. This particular example has been sandblasted giving it a raw and agressive brutalist appearance. It comes with 3-4 meters new white cord and ready for installation. Measurements: H: 35 cm, W/dept: 25 cm.

Simon P. Henningsen (1920–1974), son of influential and polyvalent architect Poul Henningsen (1894–1967), grew up watching the development and deployment of his father's revolutionary lighting designs. Speaking of some of his own lighting, Henningsen has said that they were less scientifically composed than his father's designs, relying much more on the contempory Art and architecture surrounding him at the time.
