Antique light fixtures in general and alabaster ones in particular are our number one speciality. We have sold unique alabaster flush mounts, pendants and chandelier to both interior designer and private buyers around the globe, because the ones that we buy and sell always have to have that little bit more. Well, in this case the fact that this is THE smalles alabaster shade pendant with THE best carved shade and with THE most amazing colors is what makes it extra special. The small size and therefor intricated details probably made this hand carved antique shade even more difficult to make than some of the extra large ones that have no carved details at all. Whomever commissioned this alabaster gem to be made, must have had a small entrance, small bedroom or any other small room in mind, because you just don't find these antiques in this size. Let alone as well carved as this and with such amazing colors. The maker clearly picked the right rock of alabaster for this unique pendant and the quality of his workmanship made this shade come out in its true glory. And that, combined with its wonderful condition, is exactly why we had to have it. This perfectly balanced alabaster pendant will light up your days AND evenings, because wit the light is switched on, the already marvelous alabaster then turns into an even warmer spectacle of colors. We could shoot a hundred photos, but you still would not be able to see the true beauty of this shade. The bronzed chains and the, height adjustable brass canopy are like the icing on the cake of this small yet incredibly rich chandelier. To find it made our day and we are grateful to be able to offer it to our 1stdibs clientele first. For the photos of this rare size chandelier we used a 40 watt bulb and this antique light is rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and it will easily take a bulb of up to 80 watts. And with a dimmer switch you can always create the perfect atmosphere for every occasion. Thanks to the stylish and height adjustable brass canopy (with a hook inside) safely mounting this exceptional pendant tight to your ceiling will take no more than a few minutes.
