About the Item
This beautiful brass framed billiard lamp is an original period piece circa 1885, it is of elegant design and features eight hand made silk shades, probably made by Wright of London.
The sweeping arched form is exceptionally rare, the shades are original to the lamp and are in average useable condition, replacements can be made at an extra cost if required.
The lamp retains a beautiful patina, untouched since its installation in Hexton Manor Estate it will however require a re-wire and this can be configured in either 220v for the UK and Europe or 110v for the USA.
This is a classic English Country House billiard lamp , becoming increasingly hard to find in untouched original condition. Purchased from Hexton Manor Hertfordshire.
