Space Age brass and glass flower ceiling light by H. Richter, Austria, 1950s – a compact vintage jewel with radiant detail.
A refined Austrian Space Age ceiling light by H. Richter, dating from the 1950s, featuring a brass frame richly decorated with molded glass flowers. Compact in size yet striking in detail, this piece embodies the decorative optimism of the mid-century period.
This vintage Austrian ceiling light is composed of a circular brass sheet and frame, adorned with numerous molded glass flowers arranged from smaller to larger around the surface. The design is completed with a central finial combining glass and brass.
The lamp can be mounted to the ceiling using the central hook or as a flush mount with screw holes. Its compact proportions make it versatile for hallways, bedrooms, or smaller living spaces, while the abundance of glass flowers creates a luminous and decorative effect.

Hermann Richter always signed his paintings with H. Richter. He was born in Hamburg Germany on July 29, 1875, came to the U.S. in 1927 and lived in California for 14 years. He painted murals also for the 1939 World’s Fair in San Francisco.
