About the Item
Beautiful pair of long cylindrical chandeliers with a distinctive Mexican mid-century modern style. Constructed with rectangular hand-blown bubbled glass pieces in assorted lively colors, predominantly in the blue, green, and brown hues. Each piece contains 75 original pieces of glass. They are provided with a thick chain for hanging and carry a regular socket for a standard light bulb. Elaborated in the 1960s by Felipe Derflingher, "Feders". Feders Lamp Co. had a very large catalogue with an amazing variety of models and materials, all hand-assembled with great skill and aesthetic sense. The workshop was located in the city of Cuernavaca, State of Morelos, Mexico. Back in the day, these fixtures became very common in Mexican homes and vacation ranches in the 1960s and 1970s. In recent years, they have gained new interest for their compatibility and smooth integration in modern interiors in Mexico and abroad.
