About the Item
Swedish mid century chandelier model A4350 produced by the Swedish electric company ASEA in the 1950s. Sculptural frame made from brass with three arms holding amber colored glass shades. Decorative wave shaped ornament in the center of the fixture gives this lamp a beautiful silhouette.
ASEA, the Swedish electrical company, was established as early as 1883, specializing in the production of electrical lights and generators. By the late 1940s, ASEA had acquired several rival companies, solidifying its position as one of Sweden's premier manufacturers of light fixtures. ASEA's Stockholm drawing office was responsible for the development of numerous modernistic lamps, designed for both public spaces and domestic applications. The company collaborated with several renowned designers, including Hans Bergström and Uno Kristiansson, over the years.
