Temde Raffia Chandelier, Switzerland 1960s

About the Item

Manufactured by Temde Leuchten in Switzerland in the early 1960s, this avant-garde chandelier features 3 conical sisal shades held in place by a three-armed teak frame and suspended from the canopy by the electricity cables. Casual in design, yet carefully crafted, this mid-century modern chandelier adds texture and pattern to its environment. A warm light is emitted by 3 standard E27 bulbs which shine through the sisal shades. This chandelier is in good condition with some paint spots on the inside of the cones, but not really visible unless closely inspected.
