About the Item

Remarkable white Murano light fixture with earthen red and ocean blue inclusions. One of the reasons why we think we have the best job in the world is that we keep finding beautiful and all handcrafted antiques that we have never seen before. We have sold mouth blown pendants before, but never had we seen one of this coloring. The Venetian technique of mouth blowing glass into a metal frame was typical for that region in Italy, but the more creative and talented makers also knew how to work with rare colors. This particularly large design too is a unique one. For it to still be in such great condition is no surprise when you see how relatively thick this art glass shade is. The white sky-like 'base' with the clay earthen red and ocean blue color combination also is one we have never seen and both on and off this excellent condition light is an absolute joy to behold. It comes with the perfect blackened chain and canopy and with the original hook inside the canopy mounting this light is child's play. With the warm glowy light it radiates, we feel this is the ideal light for a modern(ist) entry hall, landing or perhaps a funky shop selling cool clothes or other designer pieces.
