Vintage 5 Slip Shade Fixture w/ Consolidated Glass Shades
About the Item
One of the most popular slip shade lighting fixtures of the late 20s and early 30s, and today, is this vintage chandelier from Virden with Consolidated Glass Co. slip shades. And with good reason. Beautifully designed and executed in an art deco vein it fits wonderfully in Bungalows to Revival style homes. We have outfitted more than one bathroom in a Craftsman style home with this fixture and sconces. Its overall presence is one of grace, style, and pleasure (I think the term "eye candy" originated with this fixture).
Refinished in its original scheme of "Sunset Golden" with several of the layers, hand applied, to give the finish the vibrant depth of the original.
100% original from bottom finial to top ceiling ring (except wiring).
Rewired to UL standards including code required ground wire.
Drop as shown is 32 1/2 inches which can be adjusted
Width is 14 1/2 inches which cannot be adjusted
