A Vintage Finnish Design Lamp with 3 Light points for Stockmann, 1950s
About the Item
This is quite a typical 1950s Finnish design ceiling lamp at its best. Of course there are striking similarities to Paavo Tynell lighting fixtures, but not everyone could afford Tynells, even back then.
There are quite a few similar lamps in the 1950s Stockmann/Orno catalogues that we can safely attribute this lamp to them. Stockmann did sell everyone´s lamps back then including Orno, Taito, Idman, Itsu and so on.
The lamp is in good vintage condition. It has 3 light points with opal glass shades. The wiring has been changed to meet current standards, and the shades and stem are in good conditions as well. The lamp retains all original parts including the brass decorations that were typical in the 1950s.
