A Finnish Design Flush Mount 1950s
About the Item
Vintage ceiling lamps like this one were made by different companies in Finland in the 1950s. Itsu along with Taito, Idman and Orno were some of the leading lighting manufacturers in mid century Finland. This lamp is very difficult to attribute to a certain manufacturer due to the lack of stamps and documentation needed. This lamp is a prime example of Finnish mid century design, simple and functional yet elegant. Due to its plain look this light can easily blend into any number of interiors.
The item is in good condition, and the patina is true to it's age. It is pictured in the ceiling of the household from were it was purchased. It is in completely it´s original condition.
