Wood pendants - made with a choice of cherry, walnut or maple - handmade in America. This special bending technique uses solid wood only (no veneer). Wood pendants: Born out of experiments splicing, bending, binding and stretching various organic materials, these lights were created while living in a forest north of San Francisco. Daily you would see the fog rolling up and over the tree covered hills, the sun burning it off. “Eames’ iconic plywood chair, the undulations on the top of a cello, Richard Zara’s sheet steel installations and Eva Hesse’s sculptures - all were inspirations.” Jessica Carnevale Details: - A selection of solid wood types: Cherry, walnut, maple. - 5' cord with ceiling mount kit - Longer cord option available at 1$ per foot - Designed with brass woven cord but options for customizing cord color is available upon request. - Electrical components are UL listed - Bulb recommended: The Satco S3002 60w G40 globe white light bulb - This is a relatively large bulb used in glass shade pendant fixtures and vanities. Measuring five inches in diameter, this G40 Satco bulb operates at 60 watts and 120 volts, emits 550 lumens, and is rated to last an average of 4,000 life hours. Designed and developed in California - made in Seattle Washington. Handmade & Bent: slight variations in color, shape and finish may be present adding to the unique beauty of each piece.

About The Maker

Carnevale Studio

Carnevale Studio’s designs combine new materials with unusual processes. We strive to make work that is engaging and delightful. We produce furniture, lighting, interiors and accessories, working with manufacturers, interior designers and galleries around the world. Trained in industrial design at the Rhode Island School of Design, Jessica Carnevale then spent a decade as a designer (for Marcel Wanders, Tom Dixon) before launching her studio at Salone del Mobile in 2010 with a collection of neon latex chairs. She is happiest in the woodshop or the metalshop making prototypes, experimenting with new techniques - and each of her pieces is the result of these journeys of experimentation. Most recently she has been working with glass and it was these experiments (making her first neon lights) that sparked an interest in taking translucent materials further. The result is a collection of acrylic tables that are delicately colored, each one playing with light in ways that surprise and delight. Her work has been featured in Vogue, The New York Times, Architectural Digest, Casa Vogue, American Craft, Elle Decoration, Living Etc, House & Garden, Time Style Magazine, L’Officiel, Wallpaper, Design Milk & Domino Magazine. And her work has exhibited internationally at Salone del Mobile in Milan, The Chic Art Fair in Paris, Liberty of London and La Rinascente. Stateside Carnevale Studio has been shown at ICFF, MoMA design, Various Small Fires Gallery, NADA and in windows on Broadway.
