Mid Century Pole lamps are one of the most fun interior design additions one can make to a deserving interior! This 1955 pole lamp is one of the earliest and "purist" pole lamps on the market! Unrestored brushed brass steel shades are rich with patina and tarnish! Early pole lamps are all stelel cored and so the shades don't dent or bend! This quality is much appreciated 70 years later!
This pole lamp has none of the garnish that later pole lamps have. Clean bullet shaped shades and a black enameled pole are the simplest and cleanest good design! This is the pole lamp every mid century modern styled interior craves - it's clean design complements other furnishings without competing for attention@!
1955 Pole Lamps are super hard to come by and this unrestored example has all the honest wear that makes it even more special. Like a well loved piece of machinery, it's age become another wonderful attribute! This tension pole is a decorator's dream come true and a Holy Grail for the mid century modern decor aficionado!
Lamp and shades show age wear appropriate for the vintage and type of lamp. These original shades still hold positions marvelously. Tarnish and patina present on shades, 3-way switch lights the bottom, the two top shades and then all three shades. Presents beautifully!
