1960s White Continental Floor Standard Lamp Maison Arlus Space Age Conical
About the Item
An outrageous 1960s Continental floor lamp attributed to Maison Arlus. There are no makers marks, however this piece was bought in France. This Space Age looking standard lamp sits on a circular brass base, the stem rises up to meet a conical white opaline glass body, on which sits a conical shade covered in white textured fabric. Inside the shade are two metal bulb holders, which light the lampshade top to bottom, whilst a third bulb lights up the inside of the glass conical, all operated by a single floor switch.
The floor lamp brings a lovely subtle warmth to a room. In overall good vintage condition, with a few small marks on the shade. There is a mark at the top of the shade where the fabric shade has at some point in its life, been fixed back down to the top former. Professionally rewired.
