About the Item
Mid-Century Modern Sirmos attributed tall floor lamp in geometric textured rectangle Plaster Core, with a brass neck finish.
Lamp is supported by a square base, same finish as the lamp.
Sirmos was a Manufacture of high-end artisanal lighting to the trade, industry out of NY from the 1970's-thru Mid 2000's.
The company employed skilled artisans, which made all their products by hand, in the traditional methods of casting, carving, finishing and mold techniques.
Sirmos, the word & company name became a conglomeration of 2 Greek words for its namesake, a) one being wire -(SIRMA), b) and the other meaning body -(SOMA) to become 'SIRMOS,' -hence wired body.
