The striking design of this lamp is utterly timeless in its aesthetic, making it so popular that it is commonly referred to as simply the 'Caprani Floor Lamp', although Caprani Light produced various types of floor lamps. This particular piece is in very good vintage condition, with the original sticker and ‘Capranilight’ boast in the foot. It comes with the original flower-printed shade. This beautiful lamp is ready to use with a standard E26/E27 light bulb, max 60W. *********** Mads Caprani (1942-2014) was a Danish lighting designer. In 1979, he took over his father's company and renamed it Caprani Light, devoting himself entirely to the design of lamps. He initially focused on wood, but eventually expanded his practice to explore other natural materials, such as metal and stone. Caprani's creative journey led him to produce pleated lampshades, which were highly unusual for the time and quickly became a very popular among his clients.
