20th Century Italian Silver Floor-Table Lamp. Embossed and ceased by hand
About the Item
Baroque floor/table lamp in solid 800 silver made in Milan - Italy in the prestigious silversmith's workshop of Virginio Pobbiati in the late 60s.
The lamp has a triangular base and is raised by three feet made of finely chiseled sheet metal.
On the three faces of the lower part, volutes and masks on scrolls typical of the Baroque style have been embossed.
In the non-embossed parts, a knurling has been made to create contrast and enhance the handwork.
Just above the base, three mythological animals support the base, also embossed and chiseled with masks, where an angel made with the casting technique is supported, which supports a flattened sphere where the lamp holder was then positioned.
On the hemisphere, also finely embossed and chiseled, the faces of mythological figures have been.
The lamp has been intentionally presented without a fabric lampshade, as we prefer that the customer adapts the lampshade according to their own taste and the furniture where the lamp will be placed.
This floor lamp, suitable for prestigious homes, can also be placed on an additional base in wood, marble etc., depending on the furnishing needs
