All chrome 1 spotlight floor lamp by Sölken Leuchte, 1960s.
Graceful and heavy 1960s ‘trumpet’ floor lamp produced by the Sölken Leuchten company.
Appealing organic shapes and glossy chrome material. One normal E27 light source provide a warm light reflecting on the chrome and the surroundings.
This item is in great condition, no dents, normal wear consistent with age, comfortable switch in the wire.
The Solken lighting designs can be compared with other European Lighting designs of that era, a.o. by Fog and Morup, Hillebrand and Kaiser.

This 1960s Brass Cosack floor lamp exists in several versions. Other lampshades were used with the same base & rod. Also table and wall lamps exists.
The shade can rotate and pointed in various directions.
The Gebrüder Cosack (Gecos) company was founded in 1833 as a metal processing plant in Neheim-Hüsten, Germany by Egon, Friedrich and Theodor Cosack together with Gottliebe Tappe. It was named Metallwarenfabrik Tapp + Cosack. In the beginning they made liturgical items, crosses and upholstery nails made of brass and they also produced kerosene lamps. Later the company came to the production of electric lamps.
After the Second World War Cosack pursued a modern direction. A best seller were copper lighting for restaurants. The company was declared bankrupt in 1984.
