Antique 19th Century Middle Eastern Oriental Brass Mughal Floor Lamp

Elegant antique Oriental Middle Eastern hand-etched and pierced finely engraved patinated floor lamp. Intricate Indo-Persian decoration on the tall brass urn with a trumpet style neck mounted on an wood base. Extremely fine antique 19th century Islamic Art floor lamp in brass and copper with Kufic writing pierced foliate openworks chased and chiseled with Arabic calligraphy. Handcrafted Middle Eastern Moorish floor lamp with pierced openwork lattice containing scrolling vine issuing from cusped palmettes, bordered above and below by bands of engraved scrolling floral vine, the upper section of the foot and the body below the mouth with further pierced openwork sections in rectangular cusped cartouches with similar design set in a ground of engraved scrolling floral vine, interlocking palmettes and stylized cloud bands, band of Arabic writing calligraphy. Same Syrian lamps could be found in Shangri LA, Doris Duke home in Hawai. Great antique patina with verdigris on the bottom. Rewired for two light bulbs includes a finial and no shade.
