Antique Copper Brass Mixed Metal Ornate Moorish Style Hand Crafted Floor Lamp
About the Item
An ornate antique floor lamp. Intricate designs executed in a variety of mixed metals, copper, brass, adorn this slender and beautiful floor lamp. The base showcases the variety of mixed metal as well as the prowess, skill and artistry of the artisan. With round feet supporting the scalloped, trumpet shaped adorned base, the viewers eye is led up to the beautifully worked and slender shaft. An elongated and scalloped design is accentuated with cross hatching and tapered lozenge forms. These tapered lozenge forms are repeated elsewhere on the floor lamp. Another design element are the collars which add a linear component to the organic, artistic form. Near the top of the lamp, there is a double trumpet shaped form. A tour de force in metal working.
