Large carved torch with gilding. In richly carved and polychromed wood, with gilded details and shades of soft green and aged white. The piece has a robust vertical structure, made up of turned elements and reliefs carved in plant and oval shapes, distributed along the stem. The top has a decorative circular plate and a stem that simulates a candle, having been adapted for electricity.
The base is tripartite, with decorated curved feet, adding grandeur to the whole. The combination of gilding and polychrome woodwork harks back to the Baroque style, suggesting an originally liturgical or decorative function in palatial or church settings.
