This is an antique standard lamp. A Scottish, oak library or lounge reading light, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890.
Delightfully carved lamp base, with timeless appeal
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select oak presents fine grain interest throughout
Deep caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish
Quality later shade in tasteful hue with pleated silk cotton
Standard bayonet mount atop the turned and collared support
Circular base with tiered petal carving and raised upon a trio of inset feet
Generous length of quality cable and a British Standards compliant 3-pin plug (UK Type G)
