This is a large antique refectory table. A Scottish, oak 6-8 seat dining table with Gothic taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890. Superbly figured and comfortably sized centrepiece table for six to eight Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order Select oak with a bounty of grain interest and an abundance of medullary rays Graced with deep caramel hues to the top, apron and frame Comfortably seat 6 to 8 diners with a kneehole height of 63cm (24.75'') Four plank top with cleated ends and deftly chamfered corners Delightful carved decor to the apron, with bold turned and gadrooned knees Raised upon a quartet of turned legs with square feet, united by stretcher rails This is a generously sized antique refectory table, offering high visual appeal and useful proportion.
