The Bead Lamp II is a solid oak standing lamp with a large frosted globe bulb. The lamp sits on a poured bronze plate and is switched on the cord with a dimmer.
BEAD - This collection is a blend of refinement and irregularity. The bases are carefully beaded at varying thickness and diameter and no profile is the same as the next. Though there is no discernable consistency in the size of each bead, each pedestal aims to match the next with its constant being visual mass. In a whimsical response to the delicate and lightweight characteristics of spindle-turned wood furniture, the Beads collection is heavyhanded, graphic, and without pattern.

Michael Javidi is a multidisciplinary craftsman whose training at the North Bennett Street School’s furniture making program prepared him for a career of wooden boat building. Drawing from his experience as a shipwright and furniture maker, Michael launched Michael Javidi Design in 2019. His work draws from his multitude of experiences, focusing on building intuitively. Organic in form, the pieces strive to balance beauty and comfort, function and form.
