About the Item

Danish Modern is an era that defined an essential chapter in design history. Denmark was placed on the world map for its groundbreaking craftsmanship and mid-century modern furniture. This beautiful mid-century floor lamp showcases a classic shape with carefully thought out proportions, and the signature Danish craftsmanship. This piece is made of brass, which was the preferred material for most floor lamps of the era as it is enduring and - as this lamp shows - develops a beautiful patina over time. The brass body has an appealing, patinated golden colour that stands out even more against the light-coloured shade.
