graduated as a cooling engineer, tanguy immediately had the feeling of wanting to create something himself. At the age of 18 het founded with his partner Julie their custom-made company Fo Le Fer. With no experience and no knowledge of the material and the trade, they managed to work everything themselves to a high level. After years of working for high-end clients on behalf of, Tanguy felt that this was not his only path and that he wanted to create himself, truly himself. With his experience of the past years and the knowledge that he taught himself of the material, he developed his own style.
Triggered by new techniques and materials and driven to excel, tanguy taught himself everything. Self-taught as he is, he developed in combination with his endless creativity his own style and vision on materiality.
Not having had any classical training, tanguy is multidisciplinary and does not shy away from challenges because he would not have worked with them yet.
It is very important for him to create objects and pieces that the audience is drawn to touch, want to smell and really live with the piece. Not only the visual aspect is important but really interacting contributes to the experience of the piece.
Daring and imaginative designs that take its place in an environment. Often inspired by nature and his surroundings, he develops pieces by first making sketches, to contemplate and philosophize about life and then bring them to life with his own hands. He always works with pure and honest materials and most often with hand-cast brass.
Driven to seek the limits of materials and the limits of his own capacities, he is always exploring new techniques, materials and designs. graduated as a cooling engineer, tanguy immediately had the feeling of wanting to create something himself.
