About the Item
A metal copper finished "Mushroom" floor lamp. Whether it's a Minimalist statement lamp that needs to tuck into a corner to activate a space with its form and reflective nature, or want to incorporate this into a mixed metals environment, it's a great piece and works in many ways.
The large, exaggerated form of the lamp shade bounces light from its copper finish. The chunky and stable stem has enough substance to be perceived as a true armature for the shade.
Likely created in the 1960s when funky and Bohemian living spaces would have incorporated a "Mushroom" form in one way or another. Many of the kitschy versions didn't have the staying power of ones that were abstracted to a more sleek, Minimalist form like this lamp, which feels sophisticated and chic.
