Cornice Floor Lamp Hand Made Minimalist Italian Design by Tommaso Cristofaro

Italian as origin, born in Calabria, Tommaso Cristofaro founded Cristofaroluce in 2010. His passion for begun in his childhood when he used to craft lamps and candle holders using unusual materials for that time (the 1980s) chalk, copper, lead enriched with sea glass-stones found on the Ionian coast where he grew up. Leaving Calabria in 1999 and moved to Turin, he began his journey as a designer in the Morelli Picentino Associati architecture studio and at the same time he attended the Guarino Guarini Institute. Between 1999 and 2006 he worked as a technical director for a traditional Italian cuisine restaurant chain, living in Rome, Milan, Monza, Paris, Barcelona and mostly between hotels and airplanes. In 2006, he moved to Romania to continue a residential project. Until 2010 when his son, Riccardo was born. That was the moment when he made a radical decision, to professionalize his lifelong passion- light design. Cristofaroluce was founded in 2010 and launched on the Romanian market with customed made project. Soon, the company acquired important clients and received recognition. However, it was not what he dreamt of. In 2022, when his daughter, Carolina, was born, Tommaso decided to develop all his creations that he designed and conceived over the years. Unique products that are imbued with a personality of their own, pieces created by the desire not only to shed light but to give emotions are the idea behind the existence of CristofaroLuce.
