About the Item
Gica Contra is a floor lamp designed by Tommaso Cristofaro and dedicated to his son Riccardo, produced in a limited series using highly traditional methods. Materials such as 1.5 mm thick aluminium are used to make the lamp, which is then prepared for painting by a cleaning process using abrasive brushes of different grain sizes. Painting involves several stages to give the piece a matt finish with sandblasted textures. The diffuser is made of white stiplex and is cut to size for each individual piece, while the cork is placed at the bottom of the base and isolates the piece from the support. The floor lamp is activated by a touch-sensitive remote control, which also features a dimmer switch.
Each individual lamp comes with a certificate of authenticity showing the serial number, production date and product characteristics. All CristofaroLuce products are strictly handmade. The small imperfections make them unique and give them great artistic value. Each product is made with CE-certified materials.
