About the Item

Elevate your interior with this elegant French floor lamp crafted in solid beech and oak wood, circa 1920. The tall, sculptural silhouette features a classic barley twist column rising from a deeply carved circular base, evoking the bold lines and rich ornamentation of the Louis XIII revival style. At midpoint, a built-in round table offers both function and decorative appeal, its top finished with a lighter tone and encircled by a carved gadroon edge. The base and upper standard are adorned with finely detailed floral and foliate motifs, adding depth and character to the piece. The lamp has a candle at the top and has been newly rewired for modern use, double socket and patinated brass fittings. In excellent condition commensurate with age and use, this versatile lamp combines lighting, craftsmanship, and practical surface space, ideal for a reading corner, living room, or study with traditional French flair.
