Exceptional Colorful Italian Midcentury Floor Light Attributed to Arredoluce

About the Item

This is one of the most unique and beautiful floor lights we ever laid our hands on, 1960s. We received this floor light from a couple who bought it in Rome in Italy a long time ago. They were immediately in love with it and brought it to Holland to give it a prominent spot in their Amsterdam canal house. Although they can't remember the designer of the pieces, we are sure it must be something unique. Probably Arredoluce and Angelo Lelli, in the manner of the Triennale, or other Italian lighting master mind. The floor lamp has three colored shades which can be positioned with adjustable arms. What makes this light unique are the three colored “flaps” or “wings” that are fixed to the lamp pole. The flaps can be placed as you like around the pole. Because of these flaps, the floor light has a bright and colorful appearance. It is something you just cannot get your eyes off. The shades are made of metal and in the color red yellow and green. They are fixed to brass arms. The lamp pole is adjustable in height and brass as well. The flaps are make of lacquered wood. The foot is made of metal. The floor light is in good condition. A unique piece of lighting design. And a midcentury collectors item. Measures: Diameter 70 cm Height 160-185 cm.
