Floor Lamp Trombone by s

About the Item

Trombone II, aluminum floor lamp by Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup in 1966 - a beautiful Danish midcentury floor lamp in very good vintage condition. A sleek shaped floor lamp with a square gray lacquered metal base, from where two aluminum lacquered stems emerge, connected by a "handle" (adjustable in height), giving the light the trombone look, which the name references. Suspended at the top, between the two stems is an adjustable aluminum lacquered shade. The cylindrical shade features Jo Hammerborg's signature peepholes towards the top and bottom, and the white inner coating with a gray bottom band, seen in most of his lighting designs. The top of the shade features a white on/off switch. The peepholes spread a subtle light over to the surrounding space, while the cylindrical shade directs the light in a concentrated beam of light - the shade is adjustable upwards and downwards (about 45 degrees one way and 180 degrees the other way) to suit your needs. The shiny aluminum lacquer and the sleek and extremely appealing shape will bring a super stylish touch to any home - maybe it would be just perfect to accent your sitting area or perhaps in the hallway emphasizing a large mirror - no matter where you would place this piece, it will be an exceptional addition. In 1966 Jo Hammerborg designed the TROMBONE lights for Fog & Mørup - a table lamp, Trombone I and a reading lamp (floor lamp), TROMBONE II. Both versions were produced in aluminum lacquer or brass lacquer. All original including the original kabel. The on/off switch is placed on the top of the shade. Tested and fully functional. Cleaned, labeled and packed in protective bag. Light source: One bulb, Edison screw-fitting (E27/E26) Max 75 Watt. SUPPLIED with a new LED LAMP
