- Rectangular Billiard Style Glass Rod and Nickel Chandelier, P. Fargette, 1940By P. FargetteLocated in New York City, NYThis unique rectangular shaped modernist chandelier, circa 1940, is attributed to P. Fargette. Twin rods lower the chandelier from a protracted demilune shaped nickel-plated bronze canopy which invokes the shape of the chandelier. The chandelier is accented on either end by an eight pointed star, a favorite design motif prominent in the 1940s. Pyrex glass rods as seen on the sides of the chandelier were first used in this way in 1944 by Frank Lloyd Wright in his controversial Johnson Wax Building...Category
