This notion has clung to me since my childhood, an obsession woven into the very fabric of my existence. Within these pieces, I strive to distill the essence of a potential "architecture of the future," a concept elegantly defined by my compatriot Carlos Nuñez, a visionary curator hailing from Chile. Some of these creations speak to catastrophic events of an architectural nature, where the implosion of structures adorned with sinewy metal beams and expansive windows becomes suspended in the tides of time. Others bear witness to the reclamation of objects by nature's embrace, as the human touch recedes from this terrestrial realm. Once bound by the chains of utility, these artifacts now find themselves surrendered to the dominion of flora. Trees and shrubs cease to be mere coverings; they evolve into these structures, transmuting into animate entities. Always embarking from the pivotal query: What visage shall reality assume once humanity's footprints fade from this earthly canvas? It is my purpose to lend tangible form to this gnawing unrest, manifesting it through the medium of this luminary series. Rodrigo Pinto is a Chilean industrial designer. His work is focused on the construction of furniture and utilitarian objects with a sculptural character, where the introspective link between the human, the material, and the piece under construction prevails. Rodrigo Pinto's pieces are a record of his imagination, influenced by dreams that overwhelmed his childhood and today, dreams of a post-apocalyptic world or memories of an uncertain future, full of information that he uses today for the development of his projects.
