About the Item

Rare adjustable floor lamp in metal and brass designed by Hans Bergström and manufactured by Ateljé Lyktan in Åhus, Sweden, 1960s. This unique floor or reading lamp was designed by famous Swedish architect and designer Hans Bergström for Ateljé Lyktan in the 1960s. The lamp features two working shades, a sculptural frame in black-lacquered metal, and other smaller details in brass. The first shade, featuring a rotating switch, is adjustable and is slightly lower than the other one, making it the perfect reading lamp. The second arm/shade, featuring a pull cord switch inside, is fixed in place and has a new white fabric. Date of manufacture: 1960s Origin: Sweden Material: Metal, Brass, Fabric Dimensions: H 152 cm x W 43 cm x D 25 cm Condition: The lamp is in good original condition, with wear consistent with age and use. The white fabric of the second shade is new.
