Fifties modernist floor lamp with the design language of Stilnovo & Arteluce.
Painted steel base, adjustable alloy knuckle joint, painted and vented steel shade.
Hiemstra Evolux was a progressive design company located in Amsterdam, founded in 1934 by Hiemstra Evenblij. Their designs were sold in luxury department stores such as ‘De Bijenkorf’, and were shown on several important design exhibitions at the time. The company still exists (Lumiance BV).
