Hand made collectible design lamp from the IC-Series by Studio Josha. All pieces in this series are based on his hand drawn sketches, copied one to one in the 3rd dimensions.
The dome is gold filled and has an incredible dreamy golden surface, also when the light is turned off.
A true statement piece and a conversation starter for sure!
In a continuous search of using less and less toxic materials in the production process, Josha started experimenting with natural fibers. Collaborating with the shepherd next door, who has tons of wool surplus, Josha developed a lamp made with raw cut sheep wool. This eliminates more than 80% of glass-fibers and foam in the production pro- cess. By using raw sheep wool instead of processed wool Josha also bypasses the toxic and environmental unfriend- ly wool-washing process. The wool gives a different and rough esthetic to the skin of the lamp.
To complement the new material in this piece Josha used a more experimental colors scheme, which is based on a painting made by the artist Marie-Jose Walhof.
