Italian Mid Century Floor Lamp in Solid Wood, Carrara Marble and Brass, 1950s
About the Item
An elegant floor lamp, made in Italy during the 1950s; made with precious materials such as Carrara marble, solid wood and brass.
The design of this Mid Century Modern Floor Lamp is essential, it is all based on the quality of the best handcrafted raw materials, without giving up small decorative touches.
The solid wood stem is turned so that it widens towards the base and then tapers again, to fit perfectly into this small brass chalice.
The Carrara marble base is round and mirror polished.
The lampshade was recently replaced with one custom made by a professional.
The shape of the new lampshade is similar to the original and we decided to also reproduce the tone-on-tone fringes.
The wooden body of the lamp has been polished with a specific product by a professional, as has the marble.
The brass parts have instead been left in patina.

The style of this lamp is the unmistakable one of post-war Italian design; Elegant and refined, it recalls the productions of Osvaldo Borsani, Paolo Buffa and Giuseppe Ostuni.
