Japanese inspired mid-century Teak Floor Lamp

About the Item

This lamp flirts with your senses. It commands attention while gently balancing the energy of any space. Its warm glow gives rise to childhood memories of sitting around a campfire enamored by a comforting glow, yet its simple and refined design blends into any contemporary space. The base of the lamp is heavy, and its wood grain glows in natural or illuminated light. The warmed toned Teak wood is carefully selected; It is hand cut and oil finished with the utmost care. The lampshade is handmade through a multi-day process of steam bending the wood rim and oiling custom warm toned parchment paper. Unlike traditional lampshades, the oiled paper process allows light to permeate its semi-translucent sides, creating a warm soft glow in all directions. Brass elements are used to hold dual light bulbs to an ideal height, and a floor dimmer switch lets you set the mood perfectly. The golden metallic brass is a subtle detail that is only noticeable only when passing close by. Get creative with its placement. You can design an entire room around this floor lamp. Make it a sculptural center piece of a room or place it next to your favorite chair as a reading light. It pairs well next to a credenza or in a corner as an accent light. The possibilities are endless. The floor lamp listing is for a Teak wood with Golden Sand colored lampshade. Other hardwood is available upon request.
