About the Item

A stunning Austrian mid-century tripod floor lamp, model no. 2057, known as "Laube," designed by Josef Frank for Haus & Garten (Frank & Wlach / House & Garden). Manufactured in the early 1950s by J.T. Kalmar Vienna, this exquisite piece features elegant polished brass ball feet, enhancing its timeless charm. The lamp has been professionally restored (in its original color) and rewired and is now in excellent condition. Its original lampshade has been meticulously refurbished, retaining the original hardware and covered in an iconic Svenskt Tenn fabric, also designed by Josef Frank. An absolutely beautiful example of Austrian design.

The stem is extendable from up to down from 176 cm to 230 cm. So the floor lamp is great for each seating and for every personal height to relax and reading. The base and the stem are characterized through beautiful brass patina. The renewed lamp shade is covered with lush textile fabric. Its design by Josef Frank was created in the 1930s and the company Svenskt Tenn is responsible for the today´s making.
